Antique Map of Australasia, Pinkerton, 1818
"This fascinating hand colored 1818 map by Edinburgh cartographer John Pinkerton depicts Australia (as New Holland with Van Diemen's land no longer attached), New Zealand (with only two islands), and parts of Micronesia and Polynesia (nothing is in quite the right place).
Without a doubt, one of the finest and most important maps of the Australia to appear in the 19th century. The map comes from the scarce American edition of Pinkerton's Modern Atlas, published by Dobson & Co. of Philadelphia in 1818."

Cave Creek Falls, Springbrook, QLD
Cave Creek flows through a hole in the roof of the famous cave at Natural Bridge National Park. This waterfall is on private property kilometers above cave. NO trespassing!
The whole of Cave Creek is incredibly beautiful, flowing fhrough a rainforest valley that is largely pristine. In dry times the creek reduces to a modest trickle, but when it rains, and it really rains here in the rainforest, the creek becomes a raging torrent.
Available in Laptop cases and phone skins, wall art, selected home wares, bags and greeting card only.
This rainforest jewel was found on a damp day in Natural Bridge National Park in Southern Queensland.
It was the most impressive of many luxuriant mossy objects: rocks, trees, even concrete steps! I don't crank up the saturation on my photos so even though this looks a bit sus, I can assure you that all I have done is darken the surrounds a bit. The leaves were really bright.
Available in Laptop cases and skins, wall art, selected bags and greeting card only.
This is the male Banksia flower in flagrante! The anthers are just about to burst, spreading their pollen to the insects and to the wind. The flower in the lower right has just finished.

Sunday Morning with the Pelicans
A tranquil gathering of pelicans that happened near the oyster leases in the Terranora Broadwater, Tweed Heads, just south of the Gold Coast.
They are, naturally, Australian Pelicans, the only pelican found in Australia and found only in Australia. They are very quiet birds for pelicans, and one of the most handsome and even majestic species. I LOVE pelicans!
Available in the full range of wall art, laptop cases and phone skins, a limited range of clothing, and select home decor, home wares and stationery.
